I am a few posts behind, but this one should be quick and easy so ill squeeze it in now between studying! This past weekend Heather, Charles, Abi and Ellie came down to spend the weekend in Denton for Easter and Nana & Papa's 60th wedding anniversary(blog and pictures to come), and while she was here I put her to work taking some family pictures of us! She is so talented, and I am so glad she was able to get some awesome shots of my sweet family! She will be back down here this next weekend because she just got a job as a wedding photographers assistant, and there's a wedding in Dallas and I am going to try and attempt to return the favor and get some pictures of her sweet family this weekend, but she set the bar high! Thanks again Heather, I LOVE having you so close :) enjoy!

I realize it's almost been a year since my last post, and so much has happened! I'll try and summerize with some quick highlights- Daniel started taking the missionary discussions in May of last year, and was baptized on August 7th. It has been such an amazing experience to both grow in the gospel together and we are now we are currently in our temple prep class and will be going through the temple to be sealed the second week of this August. We have grown so much closer and prioritys have become so clear in our lives, and neither of us have ever been happier! My sweet, sweet neice Celia Marie (Kyle and Alissa's little girl) was born on August 10th. She is a doll and such a sweet little happy spirit! I love every minute I get with her!! My sweet grandmother lost her battle with Cancer on October 26th. She is greatly missed but we are grateful for the knowledge of eternal families. Emily turned 4 on Nov. 20th. She is so much fun and is such a sweet little girl that we love having in our house as much as possible! She has made it clear that i'm "kind of" her mom but im really her best friend!! Which I am obviously okay with, we have grown so much closer over the last year and she is such a joy and source of laughter for me and Daniel! Our second child, Moe(our great dane) turned 2 on November 3rd! Heather had another little girl on November 30th who she named Ellie Mae, who is quickly developing a funny personality! She is such a chunk and very tolerant of Abigail and all of her "big sistering". I had a long 5 week break from school over christmas....that is definitely noteworthy. My nieces Annie and Chloe turned 6!!! they are huge and we miss them so much! I turned 22 shortly after that in Febuary. I am now in the Presidency of Young Women's at Church and love the other leaders and being able to teach the youth! I am also the supervisor for visiting teaching in our ward and Daniel is a ward missionary and has a full home teaching plate with 7 families!! Daniels 25th birthday, our 2nd anniversary, my graduation, our sealing, and hopefully a pregnancy :) will be right around the corner and I want to have them documented so I can print out a cute little book with all these milestones in it, So sorry if this seems more like journal entry's as apposed to a public blog for family! So i'll bring on some updating pictures from the last year or so...

Its a little late...but better late than never! Me and Daniel celebrated our one year anniversary on June 11th...this year has been full of excitement and went by really fast. I worked this last year for a home health company, I had a 41 year old quadriplegic that was a very challenging case but i was able to learn ALOT about health care and was able to observe a nurse often doing different things with the patient and it was a great hands on experience! I finished up all my remaining prerequisites for nursing school, and was able to finally get an acceptance letter and will be getting my RN from Weatherford College and will start the program in August. Daniel's old company (union drilling) started really slowing down with the recession and the fact that the barnett shale is slowing down and his rig was stacked out (had no more work, so everyone was laid off) we were fortunate enough for him to find another job before the lay offs happened so he began work with Nomac drilling which is the oil company that Chesapeake energy owns. He hated it to put it mildly and was just able to find another job with Ves Vaughn Energy...he is loving it and so happy to finally be off a drilling rig! This last year has been alot of fun for us! We were able to take a trip to Seattle to see heather, Charles and Abigail- a trip to New Jersey to visit Daniel's brother Ben and his wife Hailey for bens graduation from Princeton Seminary- We were also able to take a last minute trip to hawaii with heather and charles, and I was able to go to Utah and visit with my grandmother! I feel so blessed to have such an amazing husband that would do anything for me. He is such a sweet husband and best friend and I can not wait for many more years together!

This past weekend Me and Daniel were able to take a trip up to New Jersey to attend his brothers graduation. Ben received his masters in divinity from Princeton University. It was alot quicker of a trip then we were hoping for but we had a blast. The campus was unbelievably beautiful, and we were so happy to be able to be there!

The previous weekend I was able to fly up to Utah with my parents to see my grandmother(dad's mom) who is suffering from brain cancer and isn't doing very well... I feel so blessed that we were able to have a weekend filled with lots of love and laughter and that our last memories of her will be sweet, sweet memories. She is such an amazing woman, and i'm so happy that I was able to get up there to see her and have some one on one time with her, along with my grandfather.

Okay im going to try one more time to keep up with this blog because I think it is so cool to be able to look back over the year and see everything that happened. This last month has been a crazy one, we were able to visit hawaii, I made 96's on my first two microbiology test, and we are still waiting to hear but pretty sure daniel totalled his truck yesterday. I am so grateful that he is okay considering that the collision was with an 18-wheeler. Hawaii was so much fun, we were able to met heather, charles and abigail there and it was alot of fun. Other than the tsunami scare that we had the second day we were there (read heathers blog for details on that... www.himmerfam.blogspot.com) i'll post a couple pictures from our gorgeous stay there! and ill try and get a couple of pictures from daniels truck and post this week. All in all me and daniel are having a blast being married trying to figure out how being an adult works haha!

Okay I know im so bad at blogging- and my dads birthday was on the 8th but I just wanted to let him know how much he is loved and how much I appreciate everything he does for me. From hanging blinds in my new house while Daniel was at work so that I would feel safer, to washing my car for me, to putting lotion on my feet, to rubbing my back, and cooking yummy brisket and homemade rootbeer, everything he does is so thoughtful. He is honestly the most selfless person I know(along with my mother) I always will remember growing up and I always noticed that my dad's shirts would have a few holes, I remember one pair of shoes he had were so worn out that his feet would be soaked everytime it rained...I never remember once him buying anything for himself, he was always so worried about taking care of all of his kids that he loved so much and making sure we had everything we needed/wanted. You really are the best dad, and pops and I can not wait for my future kids to have a relationship with you like I did. You are amazing Dad and I love you so much! Happy Birthday!

Okay this is kind of random but after telling both heather and lori about what we did- they want to see pictures...so last night me and daniel were bored after we had already gone on a date to buffalo wild wings(boneless thursdays :)) we had already watched our red box movie- we decided we should razor shave his head. Currently he looks as though he belongs in Auschwitz but i think that is just from the lack of sun to his head. The tan line is hilarious. So here you go seesters!

Today we got Emily and had a blast with her- it was super hot so we decided that it would be fun to run through the sprinklers. I asked her and she seemed on board...me and Daniel thought we would be able to watch from the sidelines. The sprinklers kicked on and she didn't think it was fun anymore...so i grabbed her and we ran through the sprinklers together...i defiantly wasn't dressed for the occasion but we got some good pictures! It didnt take long for her to warm up to the idea and take off through the yard!

Okay so I guess it's time to update, I have been super busy and haven't wanted to sit down and blog about anything. I am now MARRIED! :) We did things a little unconventional because we wanted Daniels brother Ben to marry us. He is at Princeton finishing up his last year studying seminary so he couldn't legally marry us, so we went the morning of the ceremony to the old court house on the square and me and Daniel got to make it all official. We decided that we wanted to go alone so it was just me, him and his brother came as the witness/camera man. Then we had the ceremony that evening followed by an open house at Susan Porters beautiful home. We had lots of friends, a fajita bar and chocolate fountain. There will be more pictures to come from the ceremony and reception, Kristen WONDERFUL photographer is finishing up the rest of the pictures but I have a few from my mother-in-law and a few from our honeymoon. We were able to go to Panama City, My grandparents have a timeshare in Cancun and we were able to transfer it to Florida and we had a blast! We went on two dolphin tours where we were able to swim with dolphins in the wild, we went parasailing, spent many days relaxing on the beach and ate lots of great food!

-Okay most of these are from the rehersal then the ceremony at the courthouse, these one from the open house, then theres one of the resort we stayed at and a couple from our underwater camera of the dolphins! The color didnt turn out very good but the water was crystal clear and it was actually only about 14 feet deep there so they werent far...i got to pet about 13 dolphins! :) These last few months have been so much fun! getting ready for the wedding, my wonderful sister Lori and the girls staying with us, the wedding, and all the festivities that followed! I am so grateful for all the friends and family that came to support mine and Daniel's Marriage! It meant so much, and I'm so excited to be Mrs. Daniel Morgan Lynch! We will have more pictures to come! :)

Okay so my camera has been acting up and hasnt wanted to upload any pictures so today i finally just went and made a cd of the pictures at CVS so i descided i should update the blog. Alot has happend- i now work at Joe's Crab Shack, its right on two of the busy roads in fort worth so i have made alot more money than i expected which is nice. I actually went a bought a new car today!!! oh yeah i sold my honda about two weeks ago...sooo i went and got a mazda3! its a really cute little sedan, i needed something more reliable to get to me gainsville from fort worth everyday once i start nursing school! um- me and daniel are getting married in less than TWO MONTHS! thats so exciting i can not wait! :) I also have some pictures from a little camping trip me and daniel took on spring break! my parents, brad and logan came out and did burgers with us then me and daniel stayed the night- he taught me how to use the gun he bought for "home protection" :)....rrrrright. More recently, we got Emily this past saturday and did easter with her and had alot of fun with her- i explained the whole easter bunny thing too her when i picked her up and she kept saying "the bunnies sneaky in the garden" haha so then i took her to the pet shop to see some real bunnies. She got to hold them and then we got to see nemo and dorie and she was VERY excited about that little trip. Anyways lots of rambling ill just post alot of pictures! Happy Late Easter everyone!

Life's Lessons

Okay, so I guess it was the summer before my freshman year i was dealing with things that no 14 year old should ever have to deal with and i began to act out. My life was alot harder than probably what met the eye. And i remember feeling soooo judged by church members, friends parents, relatives, the whole nine yards and nobody had any idea what i was going through. At that time i took a vow to try and never judge people. You have NO idea what their life is like and what they have to deal with on a daily basis. This, I'm pretty sure, is a downfall for everyone, so quick to judge. Some people make a hobby out of it. Well every once in awhile i have a rude reminder of this vow that i took. Today was defiantly one of those days. Since me and Daniel started building our house we noticed that the lady on one side of us was a single black woman that was never home and her kids always were. I was quick to judge. Felt bad for the kids, and automatically wrote the mom off as a bad mom and not worth my time. So i had yet to go introduce myself- I've met all the other neighbors, just never took the time to go talk to her. So tonight i get home from grocery shopping and decide to take my dog Moe on a walk. Her kids, a boy that's probably 8 and a little girl that was 4 were in the yard with there little dog so on the way back the dogs were kind of playing and the mom pulled up and was just getting home from work. So i introduced myself. I said "Hello I'm Courtney, your new neighbor, sorry i haven't introduced myself yet, I haven't really seen you around." She then began to tell me why she was never home and i was completely taken back. Her 4 year old daughter has a childhood cancer, neuroplasty, that is at stage 3. She has had multiple bouts with chemo, and will be starting another round this next week. About this time the little girls coat hood fell off her head a I realized she didn't have one hair on her head, no eyelashes or eyebrows, and my heart just sank into my stomach. She then continued to tell me that when she does chemo it wipes out all the good and bad so they are often in the hospital for weeks at a time. And when her little girl is doing okay in between the chemo rounds she is picking up extra shifts trying to make ends meet. As I turned to come back home i just started to cry. It is defiantly a reminder that you should never judge anybody. Life is so hard and life is defiantly not always as good as it may appear to just bystanders. I can't even imagine being in her shoes.

Today school was cancelled along with yesterday so by about noon I was bored out of my mind. I have a bunch of paint I bought and just havent had the motivation to paint anything else. Well me and daniel found the desk and stuff that we are going to put in the study and we are going to pick it up monday so I figured I would go ahead and paint the study....for some reason the room looks alot better in person these pictures make the paint looks weird with the carpet. but 6 hours later heres the final outcome!

Update!

We are now moved in and settled into our new beautiful home, school is rockin and rollin and we now also own a great dane puppy. We have had a rough week this week trying to get everything situated. This past tuesday class started and on my way to my 8 oclock class i had a blow out! my stupid rim split in half...crazy so apparently the genius that had the car before me put racing rims on it so now i have a really ghetto rim on one wheel....pretty humorous- daniel came to get me and we got pulled over on the way back home and daniel got 3 tickets. then we got home and our puppy had been sick all night so we took her to the vet and found out she had parvo so we had to hospitalize her. then we got home and our washer had flooded our utility room. haha by the end of the day we were both like..."what else...bring it" it was a looong day! So i have some pictures of that and i'll take some pictures of the house tomorrow!

The picture of Daniel and Moe...that was the first fire in our new house and our first night with Moe in the house....we finally got to pick her up from the hospital Saturday! and shes home and happy trying to put back on some weight she currently looks like an Ethiopian puppy

This past weekend me and Daniel went and had our engagement pictures done! Okay just a quick post because after daniel dropped my laptop twice my internet card is now broken...computer is fine but I had one of the get internet anyway cards and it broke off in my laptop so this will probably be my last post until we are in the house! Yippy! Anyways I just had to tell this story real quick. This week Daniel is at work and I have had alot of free time(should be used to study for finals next week) but I decided to go and met him when he got off work just so we could go on a date and see eachother! Anywho we went to Joe's Crab Shack and then decided to go by our house because his rig is in Fort Worth and we weren't far from it. I mainly wanted to see if they put concrete on every post of our fence so we went straight to the back yard- they went to walk through the house and see what else they had done. The moment I stepped in the house a HORRIBLE feeling came over me. I can't explain it- It was so strong and evil I couldn't get out of the house quick enough. In a frantic I grabbed Daniel and just said we need to get out of here and we both ran to the car. I should have called the cops- I had a really strong feeling someone else was in the house, I was absolutely sure of myself too but second guessing my intuition we just left. I went back to the house today to see if anything was wrong with the upstairs because that feeling was soo strong. I got upstairs and what do you know....someone stole our HVAC system last night. I called the builder and apparently 4 units were stolen last night. I am so glad we got out of there because after knowing that there is no doubt in my mind that someone was in there the same time we were. Our builder said that about 2 weeks ago at Fox and Jacob's right down the street from us some people called the cops because they thought someone was in their house, the cops came and found a guy up in the rafters getting the HVAC system down, he pulled the guy down and found out it was the retired Tarrant County Sherriff. He also said between us and 3 other housing developments in west fort worth this past month 20,000 HVAC systems were stolen. Don't even know how that is possible. That is how bad Fort worth police are.

This world is seriously getting out of control.

Turkey Trot!

Last year me Heather and Lori ran the Turkey Trot in downtown Dallas and it was so much fun- we decided that would be a great family tradition to do every year. But with Lori now in Abu Dhabi and Heather in Gig Harbor I was the only one here to run it this year. I decided I was still going to do it- Me and Daniel had a blast. He just came and watched, and took pictures- I got my camera and starting looking at the pictures he took while I ran and he was taking pictures of the people puking at the finish line. So pleasant. He said the first guy that threw up he didn't take pictures of him and he regretted to and decided he would take pictures of the next person that puked...sure enough! Any who it was fun- I will defiantly do it again next year! these pictures are of me at the finish line and of the crowd!

I am absolutely loving my Anatomy and Physiology class this year- I'm pretty sure I could be a doctor after all and I'm pretty sure it has sucked every ounce of life out of me- but it is sooo cool. I have learned more this semester than I could have ever imagined. My lab teacher is so fun and has really made the dissections and stuff really interesting...we have dissected a pig, cat, sheep brain, and cow eyeballs so far and its amazing how much you learn from a dissection. These are from the cat that I dissected- I the designated cutter...I'm in a group of all girls and for some reason it doesn't bother me one bit. Hopefully a few others will find this interesting...it was a cute little calico:) enjoy heather!

-the top picture is what they call your omintum apron, that's what belly fat looks like- it unfolds like and apron. Second one is of the heart and lungs, then the other ones are just me cutting it open after we skinned it!

Tonight me my mom and dad were watching movies and my mom dropped a junior mint...apparently piper loves those! I have never seen her react like this- this was us trying to get her to re-enact it. she did pretty good!

I've been meaning to post these halloween pictures it has just been a crazy week. I had an Anatomy and Physiology test Monday they also poured our foundation Monday, 6 page argumentative paper on the political candidates view of abortion due Tuesday, Started the frame of the house today, a Psychology exam in the morning and my Anatomy and Physiology Lab test Friday... So needless to say my week has been packed. Last Friday was alot of fun though. We got Emily and I had taken her at the beginning of October to pick out her Halloween costume and she wanted to be a flower so bad. So she was ready to get dressed up. I was surprised how well she did it in! and the outfit was just hysterical. She kept flipping the pedals back like a prissy girl would do with her hair it was pretty funny! We just went around and saw family- She got her flew shots that day (didn't find that out until I picked her up) but she wasn't feeling too good. Probably the only kid EVER to get flew shots on Halloween- any who... she was cute! Then Logan came to my mom's house as a Drummer. It was so funny he was really into it! Then, Daniel's cousin Jesse and his wife Kylie had a baby this past Monday and we went Saturday to see little Arcadia. She was just sooooo cute! You forget how little baby babies are. She was 6 pounds 2 ounces on Saturday. So tiny- Daniel was cute with her! :) Sorry if this post is all over the place.... that seems to be how I am functioning these days!

So everyone saw my little shaving accident. Well it is now infected- I'll spare the details but my leg has been killing me...I need to get hydrogen peroxide but decided I would go tomorrow and just get through the night because it was 11 o'clock at night. I went to go take a shower and get ready for bed and when I got out of the shower Daniel had flowers and hydrogen peroxide for me.... he is so sweet and all he said is "just don't want you to forget how much I love you"....this January we are going on 5 years since we met and it just keeps getting better! He is such a little cutie! :)

Okay people always give me a hard time about my leg shaving patterns. I will do one calf on day, maybe the next calf the next day, maybe a thigh two days from then...it just takes to long! and frankly i am terrified of the razor for this exact reason...i have tried every kind of razor it isn't the razor it is the operator and i understand that i just don't know what I'm doing. I'm going to be honest my leg hair blew in the wind today when i went running and decided i had to shave when i got home. First stroke with the razor and here are the results. I HATE SHAVING AND I HATE RAZORS AND TODAY...I'M HATING LIFE!:) and yes that is actually my skin that i pulled out of the razor... i just need electrolysis!

Everyone is asking me what wedding dress I decided to go with and here is my final decision....the dress is absolutely beautiful and i realize i didn't exactly look stunning in these pictures so lets just focus on the dress...It was kind of a last minute idea to go wedding dress shopping! i WILL be tone and tan:) I am in love with the bow in the back! Can't wait until June 13th, 2009! See y'all in Destin!!!

just an update- I got a call today from our builder they have received our permits and will start construction on Friday. They will start with leveling the ground digging trenches and then laying the foundation and letting it sit- this should take 2 weeks then November they will start the frame and the 3 week of January we are set to close and get moved in! Life is so exciting! I get pictures posted as soon as the real construction starts!

This Saturday Me and Daniel took Emily to the pumpkin patch in flower mound. It was so much fun, i have never been to a pumpkin patch and was so surprised to see everything that they had to do. They had a swing set like six flags that goes in a big circle, although it was frumpy they did have a train, bounce houses, petting zoo, and pony rides. We took Chick-fil-a for lunch and made it a day! Emily was beside herself- she had sooo much fun! They had the cutest little piglets that were only about 3 weeks old that she kept talking about. They were precious, the owner was telling me that they are selling them and have a ton more...he says he has one a pet that lives inside, that is potty trained and knows how to sit and roll. It will take some persuading but i was a pet pig....how cool would that be? I let you know how that discussion goes with Daniel! :) Here are a few pictures from the pumpkin patch and then me and Daniel carved ours will Emily ran all around!

"Kyle again, 2nd blog post ever coming at you. I've had a flood of thoughts the last few days on a few topics that are seemingly intertwined and feel like I've kept my quiet long enough in this election, so here are a few thoughts.
This week I had the opportunity to listen to Kevin Rollins speak who is the former CEO of Dell. His topic was "happiness." He started out by referring to a book coming out written by the guy who will be the head of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). The AEI is the conservative think-tank in Washington D.C. and Kevin Rollins is a member. The book is called "Gross National Happiness" and it is a study of the happiness of the average people in the US from about 1972 to the present. The author is a professor so his research is very thorough and analytic. He points out several demographics and how they compare on average to others in terms of how happy they perceive themselves. The one I found most interesting is that political conservatives are two times more likely to consider themselves "happy" than liberals. He discusses several things that probably contribute to this difference, one being that conservatives have a belief in the power of the individual and the individual's ability to control or influence the outcome they desire while the liberal's belief centers in the power of the collective-they see themselves as reliant on everyone else to get the results they want.
Alissa and I caught a glimpse of 20/20 the other day and they were interviewing people who got into really aggressive real estate investments and risky mortgages who are now in a financial mess. It was interesting to see a huge disparity between how the people were responding. One couple took full responsibility, and had organized a raffle where for $50 people could buy a raffle ticket and when they had sold enough raffle tickets to pay off the mortgage they will have a drawing for the winner of the home. I thought it was a great example of being innovative to find a creative solution to a problem you brought on yourself. Another couple in a similar situation said, "the government is giving all this money to the big banks, what about the little people?" I thought, what a sad little man to point a finger at the government when he made stupid choices. Ronald Reagan said, "Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves."
On that note it's on to Obama, who has promised the world to us all. You having a hard time? You have two groups to blame, the rich, and the Bush administration (notice you didn't make the list). So you are not the cause of your problems and guess what? You are not the solution either. The answer to every problem in your life is Obama. There was a good article in the Opinion column of the Wall Street Journal yesterday called "Obama's Magic." It's worth looking up and if anyone is interested I can send the article to I think 10 people with my subscription. It's just points out how ridiculous and contradictory so many of the things are that he says he is going to do. For the record, I'm not a fan of McCain either, but I can not imagine voting for someone whose claims are as bogus as those Obama has made and is making. I don't think it will be the end of the US if he's elected, but I think if he does it will be the result of everyone listening to everything he says and not thinking about it. The greatest tragedy of our generation is that we have stopped reading and most it seems have stopped thinking; at least those who do think, don't read so they have no context for their thoughts.

Me and Daniel were watching Iron Man and piper ran into her food and one by one brought 3 pieces of food right in front of the TV and sat down and watched the movie for a good 30 minutes...it was hilarious....I got a couple good pictures from the back...everytime I got in front of her to try and take a picture she ran to me, so I couldn't capture the food in between her 2 front paws!

This Saturday I got to see Allie Porter for the first time in about 3 years. It was so crazy to see her- It is just adorable...she still keeps pictures of me and her by her bed and asks my grandma about me often at church. She was so happy to see me and it was great to see her! She has grown so much I couldn't believe it! She is quite the little soccer player too....she scored 2 times! she has an awesome team- and after that we went to Target to shop for the lil' Jess....which turned into Kathy shopping for the baby and me and Allie in the Halloween section trying on all of the masks....then we topped of the day with some good ole Chick-fil-a...It was great to see her, I love that family! Me and Daniel have had a very exciting week. We have decided to buy a house- we were able to sign papers yesterday to get construction going on the house. We are so blessed to be able to be buying a house at this time in our lives and are so grateful that we have received so much support in our decision. We were able to go today and place the sold sign on our property and we made all of our selections for our house! I got a few pictures of the occasion and I also snapped a few pictures of another house that looks very similar to what the outside will look like. I will be sure to keep everyone posted on the progress! Life just keeps getting more exciting!

Today is my dad's 52nd birthday! I'm very grateful I was able to go see him yesterday and we had a very good visit! My dad is an amazing father and has had such an impact on me, we have really grown alot closer this past year with multiple opportunities to really sit down and talk with each other. I love him very much and this month is very exciting for my family! All of this craziness is coming to an end on the 19th- I'm very proud of the way he has handled himself these past few months- We will wait to celebrate his birthday until later this month when he is out I just wanted to do a little tribute to him- he is an amazing father and I am so grateful for everything that he has done for me! I will have to post some new pictures too- all the ones I have he is about 60 pounds heavier in(my mom has lost a ton of weight since this photo as well) I will get some more accurate family photo's this month:)! This past week when we got Emily we went over to my mom's to play! Emily is quite the gardner...she loves to water the plants- so we went outside and I got some good pictures of her- I had to go get my camera when she started taking drinks out of the facet it was hilarious but I wasn't quick enough to capture it! The last one is her playing in my mom's suitcase...(my mom had just left for washington to see heather so they were out) after her clothes got soaked outside...she thought that was pretty funny! This past sunday, Daniel suprised me with tickets to the Red Dirt Round-up...I had mentioned that I would love to go to it...it's a big concert at the stockyards in fort worth Stoney Larue, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Gary Allen and alot of other great singers were playing and it's like an all day event! Daniel is not a fan of country music and it was the last day of his 7 day hitch so I figured he would be too tired! He can home from work with tickets sunday and I was so excited! He even bought some texas flag lawn chairs! So he got about 4 hours of sleep and we headed up there! It was really hot and there were so many drunk guys....we had fun together but we were both so annoyed with the atmosphere by the time stoney larue got on (which was who i was so excited about) that we listen to 2 songs and left....Just though I would post some cute pictures I got of us there! The last picture is of stoney larue- he is sooo good live....im pretty much in love with him! :)

Okay so I am being hounded to put up some pictures of the ring for the siblings not close enough to see the real beauty! I hate putting up pictures of it because the pictures soooo don't do it justice. The ring is absolutely beautiful and I am so excited about what is to come for me and Daniel. Yesterday was also our two year anniversary and I was planning on posting some of my favorite things about him so I figure I'll just make one post with a little tribute to the amazing guy I have and also post some pictures...

I'm very hesitant to do this because I haven't talked to my biggest fan yet- it's early morning hours in Abu Dhabi and I really want to be able to tell Lori but I figure I'll update everyone!This is going to be a quick post because me and Daniel have a date night tonight but we are now officially engaged! I defiantly wasn't expecting this and it came as a huge surprise and it was seriously the sweetest thing ever! We have been so blessed to have Lori and the girls here for the summer, but all good things seem to come to an end. They are headed back to Abu Dhabi today. I am so grateful for the time we have been able to spend with them. Annie and Chloe are so fun and I have had a blast with our sleepovers! Today I was coaching Annie to tell Lori that she wanted to live in Texas...I said "Okay when mom gets home tell her you want to live in Texas and you don't like Abu Dhabi...but don't tell her I told you to say it..." She asked why and I explained it would be more special if it was straight from her...she said okay and was anxious for Lori to arrive...as soon as Lori got home Annie ran to her and said..."Mom I want to live in Texas..." about a two second pause..."Courtney told me to say that" haha it was pretty funny- I got thrown under the bus! Anyways they will all be really missed! I slacked on pictures but I did get a couple good ones! Love you Lori... see you in 5 weeks when you are homesick again! haha...I wish!

I haven't forgotten about my blog...not only have I been so busy trying to get everything lined out for school- but I have been without a computer. I had Emily last week- we went to Chuckie Cheese and she had alot of fun with Annie & Chloe and Logan... anyways- long story short she is teething and was tired and wasn't very happy and she poured a cup of water on my computer...:(! it was sheer panic as I tried to get ahold of Apple to see what I should do because I was watching the water spread behind the screen then strips of the screen lost all the color. Anywho Apple was of no help-and at this point I was very grateful I have a Brother-in-law that knows everything about Mac's. His advice worked...6 days later after being with not battery pack and in front of a fan....IT IS WORKING! I am so grateful- it has been so hard trying to get everything for school taken care of...I have had to drive to my mom's house in denton every time I needed a computer. I have a few cute pictures I will be posting shortly!

Okay so it might be 12:30 at night but I did not forget it was Lori's birthday today! Excuse the tears in the last two pictures...thats when she left for Abu Dhabi! I am so grateful for Lori and all that she does for me and figure that I'll share some of my favorite things!

1. Lori is the best mom...seriously she does so much for those little girls and is such an example of what motherhood is- she is so patient and so rational with them all the time and that can be pretty challenging at times with two 3 year old girls!

2. She is one of the only people I know that I can honestly say would still love me If I were covered in tattoos and piercings...she loves me for me and knows were my heart is- and is so incredibly non judgemental and supportive of all of my decisions!

3. She is the only person I know that doesn't have finger prints...ha ha there is no ridge detail- it's crazy...while working at Lifetime she has to write down her clock in and clock out times because they have fingerprint time cards and it can't pick up a fingerprint!

4. I love that we share alot of the same views and opinions on multiple topics because it gives me someone that can relate and understand my perspective!

5. I love the dedication that she has- to her husband- her daughters- her family- her working out..everything she does and everyone she loves she is so passionate about.

6. She has an infectious laugh, that always makes me laugh harder!

7. She is absolutely amazing with children... I think everyone can see her sincere kind heart and everyone seems to gravitate toward her.

8. She is Beautiful!

Lori is my sister by fate and my best friend by choice and I am so grateful that she is in my life! She is raising the two most beautiful, sweet, amazing daughters that have every wonderful quality that she has! It kills me that they won't be around much longer and have no idea what I am going to do without her. Happy Birthday girlfriend- I love you more than anything in this world, and you are constantly an amazing example to me! If I hadn't been in Washington all last week and just gotten home I would have had alot more pictures...I'll have to do better on pictures next year!

She is defiantly on her own time schedule arriving 11 days overdue..but I am thrilled that Abigail Lynn Himmer was born today, the 21st, at 8:32 p.m weighing in at 7 lbs 15oz. and 19 1/2 inches long! Heather did great and once she got pushing the baby was out in about 45 minutes! It was defiantly an amazing experience to be a part of and I'm ecstatic that I was able to watch her come into this world. She is beautiful, with light blond hair and two prominent dimples! Mother and Baby are doing great...the doctor actually commented on how great Heather was... he noticed that through all her pain and nausea she never had one complaint- She is so fun to be around and I can't believe I have to go home tomorrow! I am very glad that Abigail made it a point to see me! It's late but I will post a video and some more pictures tomorrow!

Heather started having heavy contractions this morning and lost her plug about 5:40 it's now about 1:30 Washington time and the Doctor just broke Heather's water and told us that we are going to have a baby TODAY! So keep Heather and the baby in your prayers that the whole delivery will run smoothly and they will both be okay... and i'll update as soon as this little girl gets here!

We had a slumber party last night with Annie and Chloe and it was a blast! Those girls are seriously hilarious! I lost it last night during prayers, Chloe was praying and got her words all mixed up and said "bless Mimi far away at aunt Heather's that she will be safe, thank you that mom is far far away!" ha ha I'm pretty sure I was delirious from lack of sleep this week but it seriously took me a good 5 minutes to regain my composer. I also posted a hilarious video of the girls in some of Daniel's cowboy boots trying to walk around...pay attention to Chloe in the background trying to turn to walk towards me! Sorry I have no idea how to flip the videos. Between the donut shop, swimming, and snow cones we had a blast! I mean what are aunt's for? Sorry Lori...I bet they are exhausted! Just wanted to post some pictures of the fun! I love the picture of Daniel and the girls, all with their goggles!

Me and Piper have been re-united! We have actually had her for about 3 weeks now but I figured this was post worthy, this is about as exciting as my life gets! My mom so graciously kept her for me while we lived in Longview because we went allowed to have animals at our last apartment complex. She is a fun addition, it is just going to take some getting used to again. We can't leave anything on the ground, note the strawberry yogurt in her hair. I also left my purse on the ground- she pulled gum out of my purse, ate all the gum and half the package and I found the remainder left behind the TV this morning while I was cleaning! Precious, right? ha ha. I also have some funny pictures of Annie, she locked herself in Lori's room right before fireworks and this is what we found when she opened the door. Makeup much? She is seriously such a ham if you can't tell from pictures!

Okay, so I am finally getting around to taking some pictures of our new apartment! I absolutely love it out here in Ft. Worth we are so close to so much entertainment, our apartments are nice and we aren't too far from home. So I took some pictures of my favorite parts of our apartment... which I have something from almost every room! I'll update with a picture of our awesome balcony when we get our furniture for out there! The first two pictures are of our living room, Then a picture of my built in desk, then the built in book shelf and a picture of our dining room, I love our table! It's not letting me post any other pictures, so I'm guessing that this is it for now! We also have a huge garden tub that I am in love with and is defiantly one of my favorite things about this place! I'll also be in Washington on this coming Tuesday to help Heather out, She's about to have her baby...sometime- her due date was yesterday but I'm sure she's still going to come! I'll be sure to document the trip and post pictures just as soon as that little girl gets here!

I realize that his birthday was yesterday, I just wanted to wish my brother Kyle a happy 25th Birthday! He is an amazing guy- He is so passionate about everything that he does, he is very passionate about the church, his wife and son, his education & his career. He has a huge heart and is quite an example to me, and I hate that we live so far away from each other. At the rate he is going I really won't be surprised if he becomes an apostle. He is just that kind of man, everyone looks up to because he is always setting an example. I love him very much and hope that someday they'll make their way on back to Texas!

I am SO glad that Lori and the girls are back in Texas...I just love the time I get to spend with the girls and the conversations and fun I get to have with Lori. I took a few pictures over the last two weeks or so that I never posted because I didn't have Internet. The first two pictures are of the girls at the pool at lifetime...I went and picked them up from the children's center and took them swimming until Lori got off work...and then the other pictures are from there trips to my apartment. We have had a fun week, we have been able to spend alot of time with family. Friday we got Emily and took her swimming which she thought was a blast. I got some cute pictures of her at the pool and a pretty funny video of her falling in the kiddy area and just cracking up. I found the cutest little towel for her when we go swimming, it's a princess towel that's hooded and on the hood there's a crown...it's hilarious on her. Then yesterday me and Daniel went to Cattlemen's and a rodeo at the Stockyards with his parents. There was a group of girls at the rodeo from Longview there for her Bachelorette Party, and about half way through the night they got all the girls out in the middle of the arena and spread them out and blind folded all the girls... and told them they were going to have a dance off- I personally was a little annoyed, I didn't pay to watch a bunch of drunk girls try and dance....I wanted some bull riding. So about the time I'm pissed- they start the music. As soon as the music started they took the blind folds off all the other girls and took them over to the side of the arena and let the bachelorette dance it up all by herself...they stopped the music and told her it was a tie and they needed a dance off and that they were looking for originality. She had no idea what was going on and she just danced her little heart out.It was HILARIOUS.

it's been crazy

We have had more problems than anything else with AT&T and we still do not have interent. I'm not happy about that but I had some spare time and decided I better post. We have had a fun week being back in Ft. Worth- Tuesday me and Daniel decided to go explore downtown. There wasn't alot to do on a Tuesday but we got out and walked around the stockyards and just checked everything out. We are both excited to go to the rodeo down there this weekend. Daniels parents are going to come join us and they will get to see out apartment as well. Then Wednesday we went up to Lake Murray to catch a day at my family reunion. We went jet skiing, swam and just spent time with my family. Every year we go we usually have a pretty big group of cousins go cliff jumping at a point in the lake and Daniel joined the fun last year with us. This year not many people came for the reunion so Daniel went solo. I video taped it and I'm going to try and post it. I got some good pictures of him scaling the side of the cliff getting to the top. I finally decided this year I don't think its very fun. I usually go every year and it takes me a half hour to actually jump- I've decided it's too scary. That's really all that's happened. Life is going great and I promise ill be better when I get Internet.

We're here! We got to Fort Worth on the 13th but I have been without Internet and will be until Tuesday. Our apartments have Internet but you have to sit in the lobby area to get any. I have felt very deprived so I decided I would suck it up and sit in here for a bit. This is going to be short but I will upload some pictures of our apartment and update everyone as soon as I get my Internet!

The Growing pile

So we now only have one more day in Longview! I love the sound of that... we have been hard at work all day today, minus a two hour nap, and it is now 2:25 in the morning, and we are finally calling it a day. I've got to wind down now- I'm still in work mode so I thought I would blog some pictures of our growing pile of boxes. I have no idea were we have kept all this stuff in our 725 sq. ft. apartment...it is beyond me and the work STILL isn't done. We pick up our first u-haul tomorrow for me and Daniel to get all the boxes in, then Friday morning we pick up our second u-haul and 3 guys from Daniel's rig are coming to help get all the big stuff so that will be greatly appreciated. I can't wait to get set up in Ft. Worth, our apartment is adorable! I'll post some pictures as soon as we get settled!

THEY'RE BACK!

Today was a GREAT day...Lori, Annie & Chloe came back for the summer from Abu Dhabi. It has been a very anxious arrival. I had every intention of getting some good pictures of them coming out of the terminal, but I got one quick shot and my excitement took over, the camera hit the table and I started calling them. It has been the longest month of my life. Call me dramatic but I normally talk to Lori at least once a day and tried coming home multiple times a month to see the girls, Lori and my mom. And I have talked to Lori, I believe twice, possible 3 times the whole time they have been over there. I was DYING! I can't wait to get all set up in Ft. Worth so we will be really close to them, the girls are all ready to have a slumber party, as am I.

Okay I have to tell you the conversation on this first picture. We went out to see Nana and papa today after we got back from the airport. Chloe found papa's farm hat that he wears when he mows, Annie put it on a took a funny stance and said "take my picture, I'm a cowgirl" ha ha I thought it was hilarious, she looks more like a Mexican in a sombrero if you ask me! (notice Annie's blue socks with here purple flip-flops haha)

Mud Hut-

Since I moved here back in January, my co-worker Kara and I decided that we need to go to mud hut(like kil'n time in denton) and paint some pottery. I have been here six months and we finally went this past Thursday. It was really fun, the last time I went to Kil'n time I was probably 12 or 13...my stuff turned out alot cutter this time. We got there right as they opened and I decided to paint 4 different things to make them say love and I plan to put them on top of our cabinets in our new apartment for decoration. I just did the first thing that came to mind on each tile/plate and right as I was getting done- a lady came in(a mother of 4, all under 4) and saw my plates and offered to pay me $15 dollars an hour to come back and paint her the same plates...haha so needless to say I'm going back on Tuesday to paint 4 more plates...it was too fun not to go back for money....I was so flattered.

Today was my last day at the Credit Union. I would say it is bittersweet but it is defiantly just sweet. Between school and my six days a week at the CU I'm burnt out. Today, about 3 hours into work, a tree feel on a transformer about a mile down the street from us and knocked out all of our power. Sooo, I busted out the camera and decided to document my last day there! excuse the lack of make-up I had to be there at 7:45 this morning.

I'm starting up a blog, finally--I've been hesitant because my life is not very exciting, especially out here in Longview, but me and Daniel are moving back to Fort Worth in a week and I have a feeling life is about to be a lot more fun! We are moving into some apartments right off 8-20 close to White Settlement so it is a very good location. We will be 15 minutes from Daniel's work so he will be able to come home every night and I will be about 5 miles from school. I can't stand him being away every other week, it kills me, so this is going to be an all around good move. It is perfect timing as well, we will be moving there Friday the 13th and Lori and the girls are returning to Texas for the summer, so there will be many slumber parties! I have a feeling there's going to be three little girls over alot swimming this summer. Annie & Chloe just adore Emily, she's smaller and I think they like feeling like mom's. I'm also going to be trying to pick up photography, just for fun, I'm going to take a class in the fall so I can pick up some techniques and learn about the different lenses and such so I'm sure I will be posting pictures as well. I just have to figure out this whole blogging thing! Hopefully this will make it easier to follow the wonderful life of Daniel and I.
